Key Features

🪶

Barely there titanium

The ring weighs about 3 grams. After the first night we pretty much forgot it was on.

❤️

Readiness and HRV

It tracks heart rate variability and sleep stages, then hands you a recovery score in the morning.

🔋

Week long battery

We got close to 7 days per charge. A full top up takes around 1.4 hours.

💸

No subscription

None of your sleep or recovery data sits behind a monthly paywall, which isnt the case with Oura.

Our Experience

We wore the Helio Ring for two weeks straight, including through a couple of hard leg days. The readiness score actually tracked how we felt. The morning after a brutal session it dropped into the 50s and told us to take it easy, and our legs agreed.

Sleep tracking is the strong part here. It caught an afternoon nap we never logged, and the deep sleep numbers matched how rested we felt. Heart rate stayed close to a chest strap during easy cardio, though it drifts once you push into sprint territory. Most rings do.

The titanium feels nicer than the price suggests. Sizing matters a lot though. Order the sizing kit first, because a loose fit throws off the sensor and you end up with gaps in your data.

Pros & Cons

What We Liked

  • So light you forget youre wearing it
  • Readiness scores that match real life
  • No subscription, ever
  • Sleep stage tracking is genuinely good

Worth Knowing

  • Heart rate drifts during high intensity work
  • You really need the sizing kit first
  • No display, so you live in the app

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the Helio Ring need a paid subscription?

No. Readiness, sleep, and stress tracking all work with no monthly fee.

Can you wear it in the shower or pool?

Yes. Its rated 5 ATM, so swimming is fine. Just skip diving.

Do you need an Amazfit watch to use it?

No, it runs on its own through the Zepp app. Pairing it with an Amazfit watch adds a few combined metrics though.

Final Verdict

Want recovery and sleep data without paying every month? The Helio Ring is an easy pick at this price. Heart rate during sprints isnt perfect, but for tracking how ready your body is each morning, it does the job and stays out of your way.
