We pulled the POWERLIX sleeve on for a few weeks of mixed training: leg days, easy runs, and a couple of pickup basketball games. The first thing we noticed was the compression curve. It is firm at the kneecap and softer above and below, which feels more like proprioceptive support than a brace. You know the joint is being held, but you can still bend through full range of motion.

For mild post-workout soreness and the kind of nagging tightness you get the day after deep squats, the sleeve was the most useful piece of recovery gear in our drawer this month. We slept in one a couple of nights when our knee was cranky and woke up with noticeably less stiffness. It is not a medical brace and won’t fix a structural issue, but for everyday support and warmth, it punches well above its $20 price.

One small note: get the size right. POWERLIX runs a hair tight, which is what you want, but measure your knee mid-cap and follow their chart rather than guessing. We started with a Medium that was too snug and swapped to Large for the right balance.
